U20 tournament has 31 participating teams divided into 5 pots:Pot 1 (teams ranked 4-11): Australia, China PR, Myanmar, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Nepal, and LebanonPot 2 (ranked 12-19): Chinese Taipei, India, Malaysia, and the United Arab EmiratesPot 3 (Rank 20-25 and 2 teams from pot 4): Mongolia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Guam, Tajikistan, Pakistan and BhutanPot 4 (ranked Rank 26 and below): Indonesia, Iraq, Northern Mariana Islands, Philippines, and TurkmenistanHosts Pot: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Jordan, Kyrgyz Republic, Laos, Palestine, Thailand and VietnamU20 Round 1 of the Qualifiers is set to take place between March 4 and 12, with 31 Member Associations (MAs) being divided into seven groups of four teams and one group of three teams.
All set for AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024™ Qualifiers drawBOXSCORE | Kuala Lumpur: The AFC U20 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2024 and AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024 draws will take place starting at 2pm local time (2am USA EST) and 4pm (4am US EST) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The AFC U20 draw will be followed by the U17 draw with the U20 viewed live on YouTube HERE and the U17 viewed HERE/ The U20, formally the AFC U10 Asian Cup, resumes for the first time since 2019 and the U17 resumes after a four-year absence due to the COVID Pandemic.
The teams will play a one-round league format in the centralised venues of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Jordan, Kyrgyz Republic, Laos, Palestine, Thailand, and Vietnam. The eight group winners will progress to Round 2, which will be played from June 3 to 11, 2023 where the four best sides will earn a spot in the Finals. Joining them in the showpiece, which will take place from March 3 to 16, 2024 in Uzbekistan, are the three highest seeded teams from the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 - Japan, DPR Korea, and Korea Republic – as well as host nation, Uzbekistan, against whom all matches in the Qualifiers will be deemed as friendlies. The U17 tournament has 29 teams competing beginning April 22 to April 30, 2023.
